The Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation has announced that Fortress Windows and Doors will be supporting the 2019 Festival of Trees Gala Evening, with a donation of $1,500.

The Festival of Trees is a seven-day event that celebrates the Christmas season, while raising funds for healthcare at BUH. The gala brings together businesses, organizations and individuals to celebrate the season with a spirit of generosity.

BUH Foundation Executive Director Claudette McGuire said this year’s event will be focusing on all the local talent the Battlefords has to offer.

“It is all local entertainment. We are focusing on all the local talent we have here. The food is going to be all local and the food is amazing. It is a wonderful evening and you leave there with a really warm feeling because you are really supporting a well known organization in the Battlefords and of course health care which involves everyone you know,” she said.

As a member of the Battlefords business community for almost 60 years, Fortress Windows and Doors is a strong believer in giving back and making a difference for others. They are a respected contributor within the Battlefords and the BUH Foundation said they are pleased to have their support for the last eight years in making the gala evenings happen.

“It is an honour to work with these guys; they understand the importance of enhanced healthcare. They understand that all money donated stays within this community and improves healthcare for not only their friends and family but their customers as well,” she said.

Tickets for the evening are $110 per person and are available at BUH Foundation office by calling 306-446-6652 or at the office. Funds raised from 2019 Festival of Trees will support the purchase of a new ventilator for the respiratory therapy department.
