Home damaged, no injuries after shots fired in North Battleford
Police continue to investigate after shots rang out in North Battleford early Tuesday morning in what they say was not a random incident.
As Battlefords RCMP were responding to a call for shots fired at around 2:20 a.m., they intercepted a vehicle fleeing at a high rate of speed from the area.
Officers pursued the vehicle and after a few minutes, it was located at a home where a suspect was seen fleeing on foot. The suspect was not apprehended but identified. The suspect’s vehicle was seized along with a firearm.
The investigation then turned to a home on 10 Ave. and 105 St. that was damaged in the shooting. Those inside were spoken with and officers cleared the home to make sure no one was injured. Police seized an unlawfully stored firearm.
