RCMP investigate suspicious sudden death in Battleford

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Battleford.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 18, police said they were called for an injured man at a home on 100 block of 26 St.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later declared deceased.

Several specialized RCMP teams have been deployed to assist with the investigation.

Residents in the area can expect an increased police presence for much of Friday, police said.

Additional details will be provided at a later date, officers said.

Due to the serious nature of the injuries, Battlefords RCMP ask residents in Battleford and North Battleford to be observant and aware of their surroundings and to report anything suspicious to police.
