Court still awaiting decision on bail for co-accused in Jonson’s homicide

There has been no decision yet as to whether one of the co-accused in the death of Mark Douglas Jonson will be granted bail.

David Keller, 47, of North Battleford, is facing a first degree murder charge in Jonson’s homicide investigation. He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court via closed-circuit television Thursday.

A bail hearing that was held at Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford last week and a decision was expected this week.

Keller’s case is adjourned to Oct. 17, awaiting the outcome of the hearing.

Jonson, 61, was found dead in a home on 15 Ave. and 100 St. on July 5.

The co-accused Nicolas Buck, 22, will return to court Oct. 29 while his bail supervision report is complete.

Buck, who remains in custody, is facing 10 charges, including first-degree murder.
