Several taken to hospital after 15-passenger van collides with school bus

A 15-passenger van tipped on its side after colliding with a school bus in North Battleford Monday afternoon.

The collision happened at 18th Avenue at 103rd Street. Both vehicles were carrying youth.

A number of passengers who were travelling in the van are being treated for injuries.

North Battleford Fire Chief Lindsay Holm said there were “multiple people transported” to hospital for treatment but did not specify the number transported or the severity of injuries.

The collision caused the passenger van to tip onto its passenger side, while the school bus appears to have incurred some front end damage.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the incident.
