RCMP arrest wanted suspect in Tiki Laverdiere homicide investigation

Officers have arrested a suspect in Tiki Laverdiere’s homicide who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

RCMP said Nikita Sandra Cook was arrested on Aug 15 by Edmonton Police Service without incident in the Alberta capital.

The woman from the Onion Lake Cree Nation is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.

She will make her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday, Aug. 19.

Cook was the seventh person charged in connection to Laverdiere’s ongoing homicide investigation.
