The North Battleford Library is hosting a musical event on Wednesday July 31 called Orbiting with Sputnik.
It will be an evening full of music by local musician Sputnik featuring jazz, blues, fusion and funk.
Assistant Librarian Candice Froess said evenings like this help the library build a connection to the community and keep them in the conscience of the public.
“It’s about having people come into the library, but people don’t have to sign out books just because they came in for a program. It is to kind of keep us available to the community and remind people that we are a good place to be,” she added.
