Cochin man wins over $72K at Gold Eagle Casino

A Cochin man is a bit richer after a visit to the Gold Eagle Casino.

Melvin Rose won the $72,147.50 Dream jackpot on the Smoke Signals Progressive on June 23.

“We’re always excited to see one of our patrons walk away a big winner,” General Manager Kelly Atcheynum said in a media release. “I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Melvin.”

Founded in 1996, the Gold Eagle Casino is owned and operated by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, which operates seven First Nation casinos in Saskatchewan.

It regularly draws more than 28,000 visitors each month from the area and surrounding provinces.
