North Stars send-off barbecue offers chance for meet-and-greet

The Battlefords North Stars are holding a meet-and-greet and barbeque with the public Wednesday, May 8 at the Civic Centre.

Taking place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. the event will allow fans and community members alike a chance to get to know the players better, take pictures with the team, and receive autographs.

Head Coach of the North Stars, Brayden Klimosko, said the event is one that the team is more than happy to host, after receiving the support they did throughout the year.

“The fans were behind us 100 per cent the whole season,” Klimosko said. “We are very fortunate to have the support that we do, from some of the best fans in the league, and a little barbecue is just a minor appreciation of what we can do for them. That’s the reason that we play and it really was a benefit to have that support from the community.”
