The Battlefords North Stars shutout the Yorkton Terriers Tuesday in Game 3 of their semifinal playoff series, 1-0 the final at Farrell Agencies Arena in Yorkton.

With the victory, the Stars now hold a 3-0 lead in the teams’ best-of-seven series.

Stars’ goalie, Joel Grzybowski stopped all 30 of the shots he faced in the win, to earn his second shutout in as many games, and third blank-slate of the postseason. The 19-year-old has now already surpassed his regular season shutout total of two, over 44 starts, with three in just 10 games in the playoffs.

Brett Gammer opened the scoring 14:23 into the first, firing home his third of the playoffs and first of the series to give his team a 1-0 lead. Austin Becker and Matthias Urbanski set up the play.

With Gammer’s tally, all four forward lines of the Stars have now scored in the series.

As a team, the North Stars have now limited the Terriers to just two goals total through the first three games of the series, both scored in Game 1’s 6-2 North Stars’ win.

Terriers’ goalie, Ryan Oullette made 40 saves on 41 shots in the loss, just one game after stopping 41/42 in Game 2, keeping his team in each game right to the final horn.
