Wilkie makes top 4 in Kraft Hockeyville

The community of Wilkie has been named one of four finalists across Canada for the annual Kraft Hockeyville event.

The community is the only one in Saskatchewan to make it to the top four, joining Rich Valley, Alberta; Renous, New Brunswick; and Saint-Polycarpe, Quebec.

The winner of the annual competition gets the chance to host an NHL pre-season hockey game and funding for local arena upgrades.

This is the third year in a row the Town of Wilkie has competed for the event.

The winner will be chosen through online voting. That stage of the 2019 Kraft Hockeyville competition opens March 29.
