Battlefords welcomes first baby of 2019

The Battlefords has welcomed its first baby for 2019.

Jesse Michael Wurz was born at 12:35 a.m. on Jan. 2 to Michelle and Jerry at Battlefords Union Hospital.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority reports mother and child are doing well.

Weighing in at seven pounds and three ounces, Jesse is the newest younger brother to Ezra, Mariah and Kate.

His parents are from Hillsvale Colony and declined to have a photo taken.
