First annual Twinkle Tour shines as hundreds turn out to enjoy holiday hues

Dec 19, 2018 | 10:02 AM

Over 200 cars – and three buses – weaved through the streets Tuesday night for the first annual 1050 CJNB Twinkle Tour, in partnership with the City of North Battleford.

While some home decorators channelled their inner Clark Griswald, others opted for a more simple and modern approach to their holiday hues.

The night was hosted by Mayor Ryan Bater and Grant Schutte from 1050 CJNB, broadcasting live from the back of an SUV, led by a Community Saftey Officer.

Bater was ecstatic about the night.

“It is amazing out here, the whole city has been amazing,” he said. “My heart has grown like five full sizes tonight. We are definitely in the Christmas spirit in this community.”

The convoy ended at the Western Development Museum, who opened up the Light up the Village display for the entire group to cap it all off.

Twinkle Tour maps are available on the City of North Battleford website and cjnb.ca for you to take a personal tour.
