Trivia Night provides fun evening out

Nov 1, 2018 | 5:00 PM

Promising good fun and conversation, locals are invited to try something new and test their vast array of knowledge on a range of topics at Trivia Night, taking part at the North Battleford Public Library, Nov. 6.

Held for the first time in the Battlefords, the evening will feature teams of two to four people facing off and digging into their bank of knowledge, sans the helpful guide of cellphones and modern day technology, to compete for trivia supremacy in the community.

Carla Lamontagne, who has been the reference technician at the library for the last six years, and who organized the trivia night, said the idea came about as something that had been successful south of the boarder, with the local library here in the community hoping to give the residents a similarly enjoyable experience as well.

“In the library system we’re always looking to see what different ideas work for other libraries and this idea actually came from the States,” she said. “[It] looked like some fun, so we decided to try it here in the Battlefords.”
