An investigation for a disturbance at a home on the Onion Lake First Nation, which included a firearm discharge, led to a number of weapons and trafficking charges for a 43-year-old man.
On Oct. 28, RCMP said officers investigating the call found one ounce of cannabis, scales, $200 cash, small baggies and a loaded firearm in the home.
Mervin Curtis Harper is now facing seven firearms-related offences and a charge for the possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Harper’s next court appearance is Nov. 11 in Onion Lake provincial court.
