Residents in the Riverview area struggled to return home Friday after police were called to the area shortly after 5 p.m.
The RCMP, along with community service officers and emergency response crews were still dealing with the situation, in the 500 block of 103rd street of North Battleford, at 9 p.m. the same evening. Police said the incident involved a subject who had multiple violent warrants against him. A source close to the situation said the Police Dog Services team were also on the scene.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area until the investigation has concluded.
