Sask. Hospital New Beginnings receives Airtime Award

Jul 26, 2018 | 10:00 AM

The Saskatchewan Hospital New Beginnings campaign will be heard a lot more often on North Battleford’s radio waves.

The foundation, which is working towards an $8 million goal, is sitting at $7 million so far in its fundraising efforts for the Saskatchewan Hospital. This week, the foundation was chosen as the recipient of the Q98/CJNS-CJNB/93.3 The Rock Community Airtime Award for 2018. The award is a $100,000 airtime package presented to a non-profit group that meets the selection committee’s criteria and is presented by Airtime Award Partner Norsask Farm Equipment.

Fundraising Lead Corrine Bernier-Delainey told battlefordsNOW it felt “amazing” when she learned they were selected.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how excited we were,” she said. “It couldn’t have come at a better time for us; we’re winding up the campaign with a million left to raise. This opportunity is just absolutely fabulous.”
