Health centre rides the Big Bike for charity
Members of the Battle River Treaty Six Health Centre rode the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike Friday to raise both awareness and funds for the programs and services the agency provides across Canada.
Organizer Sandra Favel Rewarts said the local health centre’s members know the effects heart disease and stroke can have on communities.
“We wanted to get involved in the Big Bike not only because it’s a lot of fun but because we know there is a lot of chronic diseases like these in our areas with the clients we serve,” Favel Rewarts said.
