Local business helps chamber take action
A North Battleford business owner has stepped up to show his support for the Battlefords and Area Chamber of Commerce’s new initiative aimed at boosting local business and making the community a safer place to live.
On Friday, Scott Campbell of Scott Campbell Dodge presented a cheque to Terry Caldwell, president of the local chamber for $10,000
“I believe in this community and feel we have got a bad rap lately with all the negative publicity,” Campbell said. “I have raised my family here, built my business here and when I heard of the plan that the chamber was putting together I knew we had to be a part of it.”
Under the Actions Battlefords plan, members intend to increase the number of those participating in the Citizens on Patrol program, getting more area youth involved in recreational activities and a marketing and communications agenda that would present the region in a better light focusing on the positive aspects the community has to offer.
