Artists offer stories to travellers at LaGuardia Airport

NEW YORK — Two New York City artists are hoping to give travellers at LaGuardia Airport something to look forward to with custom short stories written at the terminal.

Lexie Smith and Gideon Jacobs set up two weeks ago inside LaGuardia’s Terminal A, writing free short stories for patrons getting on their flights. The New York Post reports the stories are delivered to patrons’ phones after they land at their destination.

Jacobs says they start writing the moment they get the request, and the plane landing is their deadline.

The pair got permission from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to set up in a former Hudson News storefront.
