Maidstone RCMP seize drugs, weapons from Lashburn home
RCMP in Maidstone, Sask. executed two search warrants recently, arresting one man and seizing drugs and weapons.
Police said the first of the two warrant searches, which occurred at a Maidstone residence March 21, was made in connection with the ongoing drug investigation which saw two sudden deaths in the area March 16. No charges have yet been laid in that ongoing investigation, police said.
The second warrant, which was executed March 24, saw police make an arrest after seizing drugs, cash, and numerous weapons from a home in Lashburn, Sask. At the home, police arrested Frank Brendle. Brendle, a 31-year-old resident of Lashburn, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of a recognizance and several other weapons-related charges.
Brendle was remanded to appear before a Lloydminister court today. He is presumed innocent at this stage.
