Protesters from Regina arrive at Stanley trial

Chanting “Justice for Colten,” a group of protesters from Regina held placards outside the courtroom today during the second week of Gerald Stanley’s trial.

Stanley is facing a charge of second degree murder related to the fatal shooting of Colten Boushie from August of 2016.

“We’re here in support of the family,” Colin Tether said. “I think it’s important to ensure justice is served today.”

One sign carried by the group read “Indigenous lives matter.”
