Winter returns to the Battlefords
All good things must eventually come to an end and that holds true this weekend for weather in the Battlefords area.
Over the course of the last few weeks, the Battlefords have enjoyed above average temperatures with even a few days reaching above zero.
Environment Canada is continuing with its snowfall warning it issued on Thursday and according to meteorologist John Paul Cragg, we have a mixed bag of everything over the next few days coming to our region.
“North Battleford really escaped the brunt of last night (Thursday) storm, getting roughly five centimetres, whereas areas like Edmonton and Saskatoon both received 10 cm overnight,” Cragg said. “It seems the snow parcel that was expected went a bit north of the city.”
