Battlefords RCMP make numerous arrests tied to recent violence
Battlefords RCMP announced Wednesday they have been successful in making a number of arrests and have laid a laundry list of charges against numerous suspects in their crackdown on crime and gun violence in the region.
In responding to a recent crime spree in the Battlefords detachment area, over the past few weeks police said in a release they have conducted a number of targeted enforcement initiatives.
They have also brought in additional RCMP resources for their work, including the police dog services units, traffic services support, an emergency response team and specialized drug and gang enforcement teams. RCMP have also deployed local specialized policing units.
“The Battlefords detachment of the RCMP continues to support the communities which it serves, drawing from additional outside RCMP resources as required, and will continue to provide the Battlefords with efficient and effective policing services,” said Battlefords RCMP Cpl. James Fenrich.
