Battleford RCMP searching for 3 stolen vehicles after busy weekend

It was another busy weekend for the Battleford RCMP detachment with officers responding to 164 calls for service which included three vehicle thefts. 

Starting on Friday, May 5, police responded to a truck theft at 7:31 a.m. from the Fyfe Ave. area of town. The vehicle is described as a G and C 2005 Ford F250. The truck is grey in colour. Police say the vehicle was locked, but had the keys left in it.

Around 10:35 a.m. police received a report of a theft from a vehicle near the Borden Cres. Area. Among the stolen items were an iPad and headphones. Investigators did not receive the serial numbers for the items.

At 12:05 p.m. investigators received a call of a wallet theft from an F150 truck overnight. The truck had its window smashed by the thief to gain access.

Saturday, May 6:

A grey 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk was reported stolen at 8:56 a.m. from the 1200 block of 108 St. Inside the vehicle was a 2016 Apple MacBook.

At 11:42 a.m. police responded to a garage which was broken into on the 1200 block of 113 St. Investigators determined nothing was stolen from the location.

Around 5 p.m. officers received a call from an business on the East side of town. The suspect who is accused of stealing Listerine mouthwash was arrested in a nearby field.

A second vehicle was reported stolen around 10:48 p.m. Police are looking for a blue 1984 Buick LeSabre which was taken from the 1900 block of St. Laurant. The Saskatchewan plate on the car is 110 KNL.

Sunday, May 7:

Police were called to a shed which was broken into overnight on the 1200 block of 107 St. Police say stolen items included two longboards and two bikes but do not have descriptions of the items. The fence and padlock on the shed were broken to gain entry.

At 8:09 p.m. police heard of a third vehicle stolen from a southern reserve. Officers are now looking for a 2007 silver Dodge Charger.

The Battleford’s RCMP are reminding the public to lock vehicles and to not leave anything in vehicles overnight.
