UPDATE: Man dies in crash near Waseca

UPDATE: 

Maidstone RCMP has confirmed that the motor vehicle collision that occurred at 11:00 p.m. last evening has resulted in the death of a 31-year-old male from Waseca, Saskatchewan. The deceased male was the driver and lone occupant of the pick-up truck.

The driver of the semi sustained undetermined injuries and was transported by EMS to hospital and has since been released.

An RCMP Collision Analyst has attended the scene. The Office of the Chief Coroner is assisting.

This investigation is ongoing.

The highway is fully open. 

 

A crash between a pickup truck and a semi closed a section of Hgy #16 near Lloydminster early this morning.

Emergency services and RCMP are on the scene, which they have said involves serious injuries.

Maidstone RCMP said they are detouring motorists to an access road at Waseca, and highway restrictions will be in place until the investigation is complete.

An update will be given when the highway returns to normal traffic flow.
