Body found in an open field in Cut Knife

An investigation is continuing following the discovery of a body in an open field on Saturday evening by Cut Knife RCMP.

The body was identified as male and was discovered in a field west of a residence on Little Pine First Nation. The same male was reported missing to RCMP earlier in the day.

RCMP Major Crime Unit North and Cut Knife RCMP are being assisted by North Battleford General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner in the investigation.

The identity of the man has not been made public. An autopsy will take place later this week.
