Combines close out season on a high
The Meota Combines are rolling at the right time of year.
After Thursday’s 3-2 win over Shellbrook at the Civic Centre in their final regular season game, they have now won six straight contests.
That’s the longest current streak in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League and bodes well for the first round of the playoffs, which begin next week.
“We’re starting to get it going,” Combines forward Brody Tatchell said after the win. “Especially against a team we might play in the first round, possibly. So this win was definitely big.
