Duplex fire in N.B. treated as suspicious

A little after 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, North Battleford Fire Department arrived on scene of a fire in the 1000 block of 108 St.

According to Trevor Brice, Deputy Chief of Operations and Training, crews could see the flames when they arrived. The fire broke out the back of a duplex and was successfully put out within ten minutes of their arrival.

Brice said the building was completely empty.

Damage is estimated at $40,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the case is being treated as suspicious.
