Battleford’s mayor has house vandalized before Halloween
The night before Halloween, Battleford’s newly elected mayor says he was spooked when his son told him their home’s yard was wrecked.
According to Ames Leslie, three or so individuals were on their lawn at roughly 11:30 p.m., smashing pumpkins, stealing displays and destroying Halloween decorations.
By the time they phoned the police and went outside, all Leslie said he saw were tail lights.
“I followed the trail of the smashed pumpkins and basically got most of the items back except for a couple because they were scattered down the road for eight to 10 blocks,” he said.
