Police investigate weekend shootings in North Battleford

The RCMP don’t know yet whether two shooting incidents in North Battleford are connected.

Both incidents happened on Sunday, March 13.

Shortly before 4 a.m. a 22-year-old man was shot once in the leg, at a home on the 1600 block of 104th St. He was taken to hospital, and is expected to fully recover.

Several witnesses have spoken with police, but no suspects have been identified.

Around 10:30 p.m. RCMP were called to a second shooting. Several rounds were fired at a home on the 800 block of 111th St. Nobody was home, but a witness heard the shots and called police. Investigators confirmed the structure was hit by more than one round.
