Saskatchewan Party leadership candidates faced off in a debate in North Battleford Thursday, addressing hot-button topics such as crime, infrastructure, social needs and the budget.

While some believe it is “the most wonderful time of the year” for many in our community the Christmas holidays can be very stressful, especially for those who struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis.

Ingram acclaimed as Liberal candidate for local byelection

Turtleford businessman Larry Ingram has been acclaimed as the Liberal candidate to run in the upcoming Battlefords-Lloydminster byelection. 

Ingram, who previously ran in the 2015 election, said he feels confident about entering the race.

"It was a big surprise; I even forgot all about it," Diana Griffiths said when she collected her $100,000 winnings in the Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation Lottery today.

Town of Battleford salutes veteran with huge turnout

Close to two hundred people gathered in St. Vital’s School gymnasium in Battleford on Saturday morning to pay homage to the men and women who fought and are still fighting for our country and the freedom’s that we enjoy on daily basis during Remembrance Day Services.
