Local businesses concerned about increase in shoplifting

Local businesses in North Battleford are putting their heads together to work out a strategy to deal with a problem of shoplifting in the area.

The issue came up at the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce meeting on June 20.

Clements Drive speeders beware

The City of North Battleford plans to put the brakes on speeders on Clements Drive.

Mayor Ryan Bater said he has received complaints from property owners who are upset by the number of vehicles traveling too fast along this residential street.

Bill C-16 a huge win, says local LGBTQ community

The leader and founder of the Battlefords and Area Gender and Sexuality Alliance believes the passing of Bill C-16 is a huge win for the local LGBTQ community and will help eliminate discrimination.
