Reactions mixed as La Loche shooter sentenced as adult

A jam-packed courtroom in La Loche heard Judge McIvor’s decision today: The now 20-year-old shooter who killed four people and injured seven others in La Loche in January 2016 will be sentenced as an adult on March 16, 2018 in Meadow Lake.

Battlefords K-9 unit tracks down copper theft suspects: three charged

Maidstone and Turtleford RCMP laid 20 charges on three individuals in a Valentine’s Day copper theft.

Police were called in the early hours of Feb. 14, to the RM of Frenchman Butte. RCMP located a vehicle of interest in the RM of Britannia, roughly 30 minutes northeast of Lloydminster.
