Sinclair nets OT winner; North Stars come back to beat Humboldt

A slow start didn't prevent the Battlefords North Stars from picking up two points on Tuesday night at the Civic Centre, as they downed the Humboldt Broncos 3-2 in overtime.

Leduc, Alta. native Dakota Huebner has fit in nicely on the North Stars top line since he was placed their in the first pre-season game. He already has six points in his first five games.

The season's first weekly Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League awards were announced yesterday and given the team's hot start, it's not surprising that a couple Battlefords North Stars are among the recipients.

North Stars get revenge on Bruins with wild 8-6 win

There were plenty of points in Monday morning's Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League showcase game where it looked like the Battlefords North Stars were out of it.

Down 1-0. Down 3-1. Down 5-2. Down 6-5.

Each time, they fought back.
