North Stars penalty kill struggles in loss to Millionaires

Head coach Nate Bedford called the North Stars effort in their two SJHL showcase games “night and day.”

He wouldn’t be wrong.

On Sunday night, they dominated the defending champion Melfort Mustangs 4–0 and outshot them 44-16.

JP II boys soccer teams splits weekend tournament

It was a solid first tournament of the year for the John Paul II Crusaders boys soccer team. They split their two games against Martensville and See See Wa Hum.

On Saturday morning they dropped a 4-2 game to See See Wa Hum, before rebounding well to beat Martensville 3-1.

North Stars' inconsistent effort leads to loss vs. Bruins

The North Stars’ match-up with the Estevan Bruins was a lot of things: fast paced at times, physical at others, and in the end a very close tilt.

But perhaps most of all, at least for the North Stars, Saturday’s 4-3 loss against the Bruins at the Civic Centre was frustrating.
