Battlefords Ag Society ready for chuckwagon race

With summer in full swing, the summer sports scene is beginning to take shape in the Battlefords.

The first race of the 2016 Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) season takes place in North Battleford starting tomorrow, June 3 and running through Sunday, June 5.

Unity native looks back on RBC Cup opportunity

Hockey players are trained to be at their best, not nervous, when eyes are on them. For Unity native Alex Pernitsky, the nerves were admittedly tough to shake during the RBC Cup final, the national Junior A championship, which was broadcast on live television across the country.

North Stars set for second annual SJHL Bantam Draft

The second instalment of the SJHL Bantam Draft is set to take place next week on Thursday, June 2 in Nipawin. The following day, the teams and league will convene to discuss scheduling for the 2016-17 season along with other topics in need of discussion.
