The North Stars and Notre Dame Hounds gave fans just about everything they could wish for during Saturday's finale on Hockey Day in Saskatchewan in Shellbrook.

North Stars run skills camp for Hockey Day

For the Battlefords North Stars, giving back is all part of the game.

Six North Stars players and head coach Nate Bedford drove to Shellbrook first thing Saturday morning to help out at Cameco Hockey Day in Sakatchewan by running an on-ice skills camp for two separate groups of kids.

Sask. Rush hope for first win at home opener

The 0-2 Saskatchewan Rush are hosting the 1-1 Rochester Knighthawks in National Lacrosse League action tonight. Tonight’s game, the Rush home opener, also features the banner raising from last year’s league championship.

The last time a North Stars goaltender led the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in goals-against-average (G.A.A.) was in the 2002-03 season when Brent Walker posted a 2.77 G.A.A. in 24 games.
