Brianne Thiesen-Eaton's former coach says, she was driven from a young age

A Saskatchewan athlete has made it to the podium in Rio.

Brianne Thiesen-Eaton from Humboldt took the bronze medal in the heptathlon on Saturday.

In Heptathlon athletes compete in seven different events ranging from 100 meter hurdles, to long jump.

Young Battleford golfer wins tour event

A young golfer from Battleford won in his age category at a tournament in Regina.

Colby Friedrich, 14, finished first in the Bantam Boys’ division in the Maple Leaf Junior Tour stop at the Wascana Country Club over the weekend.

P.A. golfer wins big at N.B. amateur golf tournament

It was beautiful weather and a strong putting game which took an amateur golfer to the top of a local tournament.

The Molson North West Amateur Tournament wrapped up at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club on Sunday, Aug. 14.
