Saskatchewan finishes second in medal standings at NAIG

For the second straight time, British Columbia edged out Saskatchewan in the overall medal total at the North American Indigenous Games.

Nine new members were inducted into the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame Saturday night during a banquet dinner at the Civic Centre in North Battleford.

Orcas swimmer Pruden wins 6 medals at NAIG

Fourteen-year-old Slade Pruden will be coming back from Ontario with some serious hardware.

The Battlefords Kinsmen Orcas member won six medals at the North American Indigenous Games in the 14U male category on Thursday and Friday in Toronto.

Coghill named 2017 NSRBL MVP

Thanks to a perfect 5-0 record and league-low 1.40 earned-run-average, Border City Blue Jays pitcher Jared Coghill was named North Saskatchewan River Baseball League's most valuable player this week.

The MVP is voted on by the 13 teams in the league.
