As the leaves turn golden and the nights become perfect sweater weather, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors at Prince Albert National Park. Please feel free to share with colleagues, tourism partners, and the public.

Fall Activities – “Around the Town” geocache

Spend a fall afternoon exploring the townsite of Waskesiu on foot with the new ‘Around the Town’ geocache!

·        Featuring 5 brand-new locations and content, this free activity is a must-try for visitors of all ages!

·        Stop by the Visitor Centre for coordinates and to borrow GPS units.

·        Learn about the park’s natural and cultural heritage in a new and exciting way!

K+S MS Bike  – Saturday, September 16th

The largest cycling event in Saskatchewan, the K+S MS Bike is a fundraiser that offers cyclists of all abilities and ages the opportunity to ride through breathtaking Waskesiu in the fall in the fight to end MS – Canada’s disease. For more information about the tour visit www.MSBike.ca.

Hit the trail at the 16th Annual Outter Limits Fun Run – Saturday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m.

Enjoy crisp autumn air and the sounds of the elk bugling at Prince Albert National Park during the annual Outter Limits Fun Run! Visit the West Side of Prince Albert National Park!

Pack a cooler, grab your hiking or biking gear, and take a drive to the west side of Prince Albert National Park. Have a picnic at the Valleyview Lookout and enjoy beautiful views of the Sturgeon River Valley in autumn. Choose one of four exploration options in the Valleyview Trail Network, and traverse through aspen forest and sedge meadows. Keep an eye out for grazing Sturgeon River Plains Bison, one of the only free-roaming populations of plains bison within the known historic plains bison range in Canada.
