The 2017 Pine Needle Mountain Bike and Music Festival is taking place on Sunday, June 4th at Little Red River Park from 11am until 5pm. This annual event in Little Red is once again raising money for Little Red River Park. To date the Festival has raised over $38,000 for the community.

The Festival is the largest mountain bike event in the province, with 128 participants last year we are looking for continued growth. Participants can enter as a team of 4, team of 2 or as an individual. Participants are encouraged to raise money through pledges.

The CBI LumberJack Dash is back once again. This super fun obstacle course is designed for kids ages 3-13. Categories and times are as follows: Logger (ages 3-5) 1pm, Fellers (ages 6-9) 2pm and Skidders (ages 10-13) 3pm. There is a $10 entry fee, with the proceeds going toward Little Red River Park.

There will be 6 bands performing on the stage throughout the day. There is no admission to the

Music Festival portion of the event. The bands include: Soulfather at 11am, Between Bridges at 12pm, The Wolfe at 1pm, Ponteix at 2pm, All Mighty Voice at 3pm and Friends of Foes at 4pm. On top of all these great bands, local comedian Kelly Taylor will be our emcee for the day, and Kelly will also be participating in the mountain bike event!

Once again, we will have a food festival, with food from Funky Fresh Bistro, Selena’s Donair, Panago Pizza and The Smokin’ Grill! Food tokens can be purchased for $2 each and used at the various food vendors.

Other activities include bounce castles from Backyard Bouncers and Yoga Takes a Hike with Tapestry Yoga!
