Chili and a Bun Day Raises Money for United Way

In true tradition of cooperation, Discovery Co-op and The Cooperators joined forces to sponsor a tasty Chilli/Bun luncheon in the Co-op Mall, Oct. 20th with all funds raised going to Battlefords United Way.

The United Way’s board members and Events/Campaign Coordinator were out to meet and greet people and to thank them for their support. John Paul 11 Mission team were also onsite cleaning tables and accepting donations to support them for their upcoming travels overseas.

October is United Way month and campaigning is in full progress.

With a $50,000 Business Campaign goal set for this year, Battlefords United Way asks for support from the business community in every way possible.

The Residential campaign is also taking place simultaneously and all community households should have received a donor pamphlet and envelope urging them to give. Anyone who hasn’t received a donor package can call the United Way office at 306-445-1717 to make their donation or receive more information.
