Returning Children to the Centre of the Circle

Jun 23, 2016 | 7:59 AM

This is a two day experiential and didactic training that focuses on the relationships and dynamics of Aboriginal families within the Indigenous Worldview.

The training can be a guide for professionals working with Aboriginal families in a multitude of settings.

Traditional roles were based on guiding and caring for the children, and residential schools disrupted and attacked this heart of the family.

The workshop will begin with a big picture of contrasting worldviews, and then focus on changes in the traditional family due to cultural genocide. The resiliency, strengths and resistance of families and relationships will be seen as the platforms for returning the children to their rightful place.
