Stewardship Secretarial Employment Opportunity – Applications are being taken for the position of Stewardship Development Secretary. Reporting to the Director of Stewardship Development, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • All activities needed to support accurate and efficient data management for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal
  • Coordinating the production and distribution of Appeal mail outs,
  • Providing administrative support to the Office of Stewardship Development in carrying out its mission in the diocese.  

      Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to communicate in French.  Cree would be a definite asset.
  • The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • The Diocese of Prince Albert fosters a Responsible Ministry Protocol and safe environment program. Screening includes a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check and Agreement to the Model Code of Conduct
  • Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office.

  • April 16, Catholic Idol concert coming soon!  Catholic Idol is coming soon!  On Saturday, April 16 at 2:00pm at St. Mark’s Parish, the Diocesan Vocations Commission will present “Catholic Idol”.  There will be top quality, talented singers from Albertville, Prince Albert, Bellevue, St Louis, Wakaw, Domremy, Meota, Porcupine Plain & Spiritwood!  An offering will be taken to offset costs.   Please mark your calendars for this momentous event. 
     
  • April 17, St. Joseph Parish, Prince Albert – Please join the St. Joseph’s Parish on Sunday, April 17, at 3 p.m. as they will be showing a film entitled ‘The Original Image of Divine Mercy’.  This film is the untold story on an unknown masterpiece painted at the request of St. Faustina.   • May 1, Thanksgiving Ordination Anniversary Concert – You are cordially invited to a thanksgiving concert will be held by Fr. Roque Concepcion on the occasion of his 17th Ordination Anniversary.  It will take place on May 1 at 3:00pm at St. Joseph Parish in Prince Albert. Donations are accepted.  Proceeds will be given to the St. Joseph Refugee Sponsorship Program. 
     
  • Regina Sisters of the Presentation of Mary Residence – The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary have a house on Pells Drive, a fifteen or twenty minute walk away from the University of Regina.  We welcome young women who are looking for room and and board.  Residents have enjoyed our meals, our company, our support and a place that responds to their need for quiet and study.   •   April 6, Battleford Parish Music Jam Night – Join in the Music Jam night at St, Vital, Battleford on April 6.  These are events open to all ages and all talents, beginner to accomplished.  Take the time to get together and share your abilities with others in teaching or learning about your instrument. The evening will include a time of learning with each other, playing or listening to some of your favorite tunes, and then we will wrap up the evening with some awesome spiritual and gospel music. If you are not a musician so to speak, come out and enjoy the evening anyway. You’ll be glad you did!!!
  •    April 9, Stewardship Workshop – You are invited to a workshop on Stewardship and Evangelization.  This workshop offers parishes a host of practical and affordable ways of using the gifts they have been given to attract former Catholics and non-practicing persons into a relationship with God.  What is different? These presentations focus on actions; on how we use our giftedness and the gifts of our faith community to continue the mission of Jesus, namely to go forth and teach to all nations.  Join them on Saturday, April 9 at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Meadow Lake from 10am to 3pm.  Cost is free.  To make sure enough handouts and materials are available, please let us know how many will be attending at 306-922-4747 ext. 234 or diostewpa@sasktel.net.
