Discovery Co-Op applies for liquor permit

Discovery Co-operative Ltd. In North Battleford has applied for a liquor permit.

The permit is for a Retail Store Stand-Alone, and was applied to Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming (SLGA) to sell alcohol in the premises of Discovery Co-op at Territorial liquor Store at 9800 Territorial Drive in North Battleford.

Under the provisions of the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act, 1997, written objections to the granting of the permit may be filed with SLGA no more than two weeks from the notice, which was July 17.

People who want to file a written objection to the liquor permit must state their name, address and telephone number in printed form, as well as grounds for their objections.

SLGA did state that frivolous, vexatious, or competition-based objections may not be considered and may be rejected by the Licensing Commission of SLGA.

Discovery Co-Op could not comment on the subject, but confirmed that the liquor permit was applied for.
