NDP questions Sask. Party MLAs private trip to China

One day after he announced his retirement from politics, Bill Boyd’s name is being connected with what the NDP said is a questionable trip to China.

Boyd was there earlier in the year as a private businessman seeking investors for his agriculture firm.

Familiar names considering race to replace Premier

While Tina Beaudry-Mellor is the first official candidate so far in the race to replace Brad Wall, there are likely many who will join her.

On Tuesday, two more stepped forward to confirm they’re giving the position a serious consideration.

Fire Ball ride pulled from Saskatoon, Regina fairs

This year’s exhibitions in Saskatoon and Regina won’t feature the swinging thrill ride Fire Ball.

The move comes after one person died and seven were injured when a Fire Ball broke apart mid-ride at the Ohio State Fair Wednesday night.

Carbon tax, aging grid pose ongoing challenges for SaskPower

SaskPower has some big challenges ahead as it continues to meet growth demands, upgrade the grid and meet environmental targets.

The annual report released Wednesday showed the Crown invested $886 million in the province’s electricity system over the past year.
