Buddy Benches to eliminate loneliness

An initiative in the Battlefords called Buddy Benches is planning to make bullying take a seat and promote inclusiveness among children at school.

Rene L’Heureux, Owner of Beauty Spot Lash Bar, spearheaded the project with her company after getting the 'buddy bench' idea from a client.

Tale Spinner aims to increase public interest

North Battleford’s theatre scene has been expanding over the past year, and the Tale Spinner Theatre company wants you to remember their name.

Dannyll Challis is the artistic director of the group, currently in its second season of performances.

The 130th annual Territorial Days are right around the corner with a brand new lineup with something for everybody.

According to Jocelyn Ritchie, General Manager of the Battlefords Agriculture Society, this is the largest event of the year in the Battlefords.

Volleyball players get muddy in Vawn

People in Vawn weren’t afraid to get dirty as the town came together to host a mud volleyball tournament Saturday afternoon.

This is the first time the community has organized the tournament in roughly 17 years after Brandon Doom and Becky Carr decided to bring it back.

Western Development Museum offers a step back in time

The Western Development Museum (WDM) was offering a glimpse into the past over the weekend.

At the annual Those Were the Days event, WDM opened its doors to show off all the museum has to offer, showcasing what life for families on the prairies in the early 1900s was like.

Concert in the Park connects children with storytelling

The North Battleford Public Library gathered children in Central Park Friday afternoon as they hosted their annual Concert in the Park to promote storytelling and literature.

Teachers will spend two nights at Blue Mountain Adventure Park learning a variety of curriculum-based outdoor activities for students.
