Wall talks leadership race, Saskatoon byelection battle

Premier Brad Wall couldn’t escape talk of who will succeed him while touting his candidate to run in the Saskatoon-Fairview byelection Friday morning.

Speaking to reporters, Wall said as a political nerd he’s very excited to see a Sask Party leadership race play out.

Playful Paws owner pleads guilty in death of 14 dogs

The owner of Playful Paws Pet Centre says he's accepting responsibility for the deaths of 14 dogs at the kennel in September 2016.
 
Dave Deplaedt, 50, pleaded guilty Tuesday on behalf of his business for negligence under the Animal Protection Act.

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) is joining other separate boards pushing for the province to appeal a controversial court decision banning government funding of non-Catholic students in the Catholic system.

Premier Brad Wall made his clearest indication yet he'll challenge a federal carbon tax in court during a speech Thursday night.

Speaking at the premier's dinner in Saskatoon, a fundraiser for the Saskatchewan Party, Wall rallied supporters around a carbon tax battle.

Hundreds of people gathered at the entrance of Prairieland Park Thursday evening to protest Premier Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party's budget.

Playful Paws case held up as kennel owner not served charges

A criminal court case over the deaths of 14 dogs at a Saskatoon kennel last fall is up in the air after a bizarre hearing Wednesday.

The owner of Playful Paws Pet Centre, David DePlaedt, didn't show up for the 2 p.m. court appearance.
