Riders rolling into Ottawa

It’s Rider game day.

Only six days removed from the green and white’s home opener, the Roughriders are travelling to Ottawa to take on the RedBlacks in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Semi-final, which the Riders won 31-20.

Legalization good news for local business owner

The legalization of marijuana in Canada now has a date, and that’s good news for a North Battleford business.

Dale Whiteside, owner of Rockshop SmokeShop, said even though his business doesn’t sell marijuana, he’s excited for the boost that it will bring to the entire industry.

The staff of Nutec, along with Stars head coach and GM Brayden Klimosko and Marketing Manager Caitlyn Gray, made a sizable donation to the SJHL Assistance Program.

Super A owners say Battlefords businesses becoming harder to run

It’s getting tougher and tougher to operate a small business in a small town.

The town of Battleford has seen its fair share of disappearing businesses throughout the town. Super A Foods became the latest business to close its doors Thursday.

With the temperatures getting warmer outside, one meteorologist said it’s important to understand why heat warnings are issued and what the heat can do.

'It was amazing to watch the exploration,' teacher says after science fair

Forty-eight Grade 8 students recently participated in their science fair at North Battleford Comprehensive High School.

It started out as just a year-end project, but it turned into much more as the students worked to build not only their projects but also their knowledge of science.
