Antwane Grant ready for 1st start as a Rider

There was no other acceptable option for Antwane Grant but to be a Saskatchewan Roughrider.

“I came with a chip on my shoulder,” he said. “I didn't stick around in the NFL, I knew when I came here I wanted to stick around. I wanted to be here for sure.”

'Happy to be home' Riders ink local o-lineman Jeremy Zver

It was a risk that paid off for Regina's own Jeremy Zver, in more ways than one.

The offensive lineman was drafted 16th overall by the B.C. Lions in the 2017 CFL Draft in May, but on Tuesday he was announced as the newest Saskatchewan Roughrider.

Differing views lead Roughriders to release Newsome

A disagreement with his boss seems to have cost Jonathan Newsome his job.
 
In a surprising move, the Roughriders announced Newsome's release during practice on Tuesday.
 
After practice,  head coach Chris Jones said the two of them weren't seeing eye to eye.

It's only the second week of the CFL season, and the Roughriders are already dealing with a problematic injury.

Canadian middle “Mike” linebacker Henoc Muamba has been moved to the six-game injured list after an MRI revealed an injury to his knee.

13th man statue unveiled at Mosaic Stadium

Just days before the opening of new Mosaic Stadium, something just for the Rider Nation has been unveiled.

Standing 18-feet tall at the end of three fan walls is a statue of an unmarked Roughrider receiver reaching for a football and being helped up by fans.

Riders’ Williams following in Durant’s footsteps

For the second time in his football career, Marquise Williams is following in the footsteps of Darian Durant.

Williams played his college career at the University of North Carolina, the same school former Roughrider quarterback Darian Durant played.
