Linking business with pleasure at Chamber Golf Tournament

May 22, 2018 | 10:02 AM

The greens are groomed and the golf clubs are ready to go as members and guests of the Battlefords and Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) will be hitting the links for the fifth Annual Chamber Golf Challenge this Friday afternoon at the Jackfish Lodge Golf Course.

Chamber executive director Linda Machniak said she is happy with the response so far.

“We (BACC) have been amazed at the support we have received every year,” Linda Machniak said. “The turnout gets bigger each year and we expect this to be our biggest golf challenge yet.”

Last year’s event had a record 120 golfers enjoy a round of golf and compete for one of the many prizes up for grabs.

“I like to think that we are the most fun golf challenge around,” she added. “It really is an opportunity to have fun, get some exercise and network with fellow business owners.”

This year’s golf challenge will be held at the Jackfish Lodge Golf Course which is called by many  a “must play” golf course in the region.

“We have several golf courses who are chamber members,” Machniak said. “However only Jackfish Lake and the North Battleford Golf and Country Club are 18-hole courses, so we rotate between the two.”

Machniak said there are a few openings left for teams to enter and they can do so by clicking here.
