Fatality in highway collision near Lloydminster

One person is dead following a two vehicle collision on Highway 16 east of Lloydminster SK. on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Maidstone RCMP, the accident happened on Range Road 3280 around 3:30 p.m. when a half-ton truck on Highway 16 collided with a southbound car. The driver of the car was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, however the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck also suffered injuries.
Highway 16 eastbound was restricted to one lane for eight hours, as an RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
